More than 100,000 passengers use BLT's streetcar, bus and rail services in the Basel area every day, arriving at their destinations relaxed, safely and on time. At the beginning of 2022, BLT put TimeTool's time recording into operation for the ancillary operations as well as the administration. What were the decisive factors that led you to choose our solution? "Two factors in particular were decisive: First, we were convinced by the versatility of TimeTool. Our requirements regarding the connection to further systems as well as the possibilities with a view to the future (duty scheduling, project and performance recording) were very well met by your system. The handling in the backend was also an important point. The final decision to implement TimeTool and not another time recording system was based on the fact that we could already identify with your service and customer orientation during the evaluation phase. This was very important to us after replacing the old time recording system." From your point of view, what were the biggest challenges during the system implementation and what would you do differently next time? "The time and attendance implementation went almost smoothly and we probably wouldn't do anything differently at this point. But the biggest challenges will probably come in the coming weeks and months anyway, when we add more employee groups to the system and introduce duty scheduling right alongside electronic time recording." Working together as partners is important in projects like this. How did you experience the cooperation with TimeTool? "After this was an important factor in the decision-making process, we can happily say that TimeTool and their employees have completely fulfilled our expectations. The system operation has been established and if something does come up, our concerns are handled quickly and professionally. So far, it is definitely a partnership as we would like it to be and we can highly recommend it." You were previously using a different solution. From your point of view, what are the advantages of TimeTool compared to the previous system? "The biggest advantages of TimeTool are the comparatively simple handling in the backend, as well as the smooth connection to the payroll system. But also the above-mentioned expansion options for project time recording and duty scheduling are a big plus." Fabienne Lerch Die Mobiliar - General Agency Belp Head of Market Development, Member of the Management Team DIE MOBILIAR - GENERAL AGENCY BELP Experiences from the project at Die Mobiliar - General Agency Belp, with Fabienne Lerch No less than eleven general agencies of the insurance company Die Mobiliar now record working hours and absences with TimeTool. And there are more to come. For more than a year, the employees of the general agency Belp have also been using the TimeTool solution. Working with an electronic system was nothing new for the staff - previously, another software product had been in use for many years. But what prompted the agency to make the switch? «We wanted a simple, straightforward and clear system for our employees,» says Fabienne Lerch, Head of Market Processing and member of the management team. When the TimeTool system was put into operation, the preparation and prompt transfer of balance information from the previous system was a particular challenge. «Gaining acceptance for a new solution and training individual employees was also an intensive point during the introduction» adds Fabienne Lerch. Experience shows that replacing systems that have been in use for many years with modern solutions can be demanding, especially in this area. In the context of the implementation, the partnership between client and supplier plays an important role. How did the general agency Belp experience this? «The cooperation with the TimeTool team was always uncomplicated. For the explanation of the most important points, we made an appointment at our general agency. We appreciated this very much.» Once a system has been successfully put into operation, one would like to be able to manage day-to-day operations as independently as possible - without support from the supplier. Is that also the case at the Belp general agency? «The system works well and can be used in everyday life without support,» says Fabienne Lerch. TimeTool's support team is available to clarify open points and points that need to be optimized.
